Terms and Conditions

Terms and conditions & refund policy

Please read these terms before purchasing. We do not offer discretionary refunds for paid access, whether used or unused. Our billing-error refunds cover verified duplicate or incorrect subscription charges taken by Passmedex. We investigate technical faults and provide additional access days for verified interruptions.

  • No discretionary refunds, used or unused
  • Technical faults and access extensions
  • Email cancellation before renewal

Your purchase and these terms

Your purchase is for access to the content and features described for your chosen plan, for the stated access period.

  • Review the plan description, price, access period, renewal arrangements, minimum commitment, and these terms before paying. Contact us if anything is unclear.
  • The terms and plan information presented when you purchase apply to that purchase. Later changes to this page do not retrospectively change the terms of an earlier purchase.

How you may use the site

Passmedex is an educational service for doctors and medical students. Paid access is for your personal study use.

  • Use the public pages, demo, and study tools to evaluate Passmedex and revise for your exams.
  • Do not copy, share, scrape, or redistribute paid content without permission.
  • Keep your account details secure and do not share your login with other people.

Choosing a resource that suits your study needs

Passmedex provides exam-focused revision. Review the course description and available demo before choosing a plan.

  • Question banks, explanations, mocks, flashcards, and revision notes are provided as described for your plan. They are not a substitute for a complete medical curriculum or individual tuition unless your plan expressly includes that service.
  • A preference for a different explanation style, greater detail, or more foundational teaching does not by itself establish a fault where the resource meets its description.
  • Changes to your study plans, exam date, available study time, or personal circumstances do not create a discretionary refund entitlement, whether or not you have used your paid access.
  • If you believe content is materially inaccurate or does not match its description, send specific examples to examsupport@passmedex.com. We will investigate the substance of your complaint.

Refund policy: used and unused paid access

We do not offer discretionary refunds for paid access, whether used or unused. We refund verified duplicate or incorrect subscription charges taken by Passmedex.

  • This policy applies to one-off purchases and subscription payments for question banks, courses, mocks, revision notes, flashcards, and other paid study access. Your payment purchases availability of the access described for your plan during its stated period, rather than a particular amount of personal use.
  • We do not offer discretionary full or partial refunds for paid access, even if you never sign in, never open the question bank, attempt no questions, use only a small part of the resource, or leave some or all of the access period unused. Non-use does not itself entitle you to a refund.
  • A change of mind, dissatisfaction with the level of detail or explanation style where the resource meets its description, a change of exam plans, or forgetting to cancel a correctly disclosed subscription renewal does not create a discretionary refund entitlement. This is not a trial or satisfaction guarantee unless your purchase offer expressly states otherwise.
  • Under our discretionary refund policy, refunds are limited to verified duplicate or incorrect subscription charges taken by Passmedex. We investigate these billing errors and refund the duplicate or incorrectly charged amount. We do not offer discretionary refunds for correctly charged subscription payments, whether the paid period was used or unused.
  • Any separate terms expressly provided for Smart Flashcards processing credits continue to apply to those credits. A technical-failure credit reversal is not a cash refund of course or question-bank access.

Technical faults: investigation, restoration, and additional days

We investigate reported technical faults and restore affected access. For a verified interruption to paid access, we provide additional access days for the time lost, rather than a discretionary refund.

  • Report a fault to examsupport@passmedex.com with your account email, affected course or feature, approximate time, device and browser, and any error message or screenshot. Never send your password or full payment-card details.
  • We assess the report and relevant access, usage, and service records, and may request reasonable information needed to diagnose the problem. We will explain our findings and the action we take.
  • For a verified fault with our service that prevents paid access, we will work to restore access within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, and provide an extension to the affected plan equivalent to the verified period of lost access, rounded up to whole days. The extension carries no extra charge or additional subscription commitment.
  • A resolved technical fault does not automatically create a discretionary cash-refund entitlement. We provide additional access days for verified lost access.
  • Report issues promptly so we can investigate and assist. There is no 72-hour reporting limit for contacting support.

Subscriptions and email cancellation

To stop your subscription renewing, email examsupport@passmedex.com before your next scheduled payment.

  • Subscriptions renew and bill on the schedule shown at checkout until renewal is cancelled. Include your account email and the plan you wish to cancel in your email to examsupport@passmedex.com. You do not need to give a reason.
  • For an email cancellation request received before your next scheduled payment, we will stop that renewal and take no further subscription payments for the cancelled plan. We accept email cancellation requests during any initial minimum term and will confirm the cancellation and access end date by email.
  • Access to the cancelled plan continues until the end of the current paid period and then ends when the next billing cycle would have started. Your sign-in and any separately purchased, valid access remain available.
  • Cancelling renewal does not create a discretionary refund of payments already correctly taken, whether you used your access or not. If your request arrives after a scheduled payment has already been taken, we will stop the following renewal. A payment incorrectly taken after a timely cancellation request will be investigated and refunded where verified.
  • If a plan description, checkout summary, and billing record do not match, contact support before paying. If you have already paid, report the discrepancy so we can investigate and correct any billing error.

Billing, refunds, and payment issues

Billing should be straightforward, reviewable, and easy to contact us about.

  • You can manage payment details and subscription actions through the billing portal or by contacting support.
  • Declined, expired, or otherwise failed payments may pause access until the payment method is updated.
  • We will notify you of a renewal price change before it takes effect and explain your options for ending renewal.
  • For subscription products, we investigate duplicate payments, incorrect amounts, and payments taken after cancellation became effective. Where a duplicate or incorrect subscription charge taken by Passmedex is verified, we refund the duplicate or incorrectly charged amount. A correctly disclosed and authorised renewal is not an incorrect charge merely because the subscription was not used.
  • We may temporarily pause access associated with a disputed payment while investigating a chargeback or payment dispute. We will review the circumstances and explain any action.
  • Taxes or processor fees, if any, will be shown or handled by the payment provider.

Intellectual property

The Passmedex brand, site content, and revision materials belong to Passmedex unless we say otherwise.

  • You may not copy or republish our question content, explanations, or branding without permission.
  • External resources or references remain owned by their original publishers.
  • The site may link to third-party services, but those services follow their own terms.

Service changes and availability

We may update the site, plans, or exam coverage as Passmedex grows.

  • We may update content for exam-blueprint changes and improve features while continuing to supply the content and features promised for your purchase.
  • We may pause or adjust parts of the site for maintenance or improvement.
  • Where possible, we try to keep public pages stable and easy to understand.

Liability and educational use

  • Information on the site is educational and should not be treated as medical or legal advice.
  • You remain responsible for your own exam preparation and professional judgement.
  • No particular exam result is guaranteed. The content and features included in your purchased plan remain as described.
